Salt and Light: Atlanta, GA, United States; Nescit cedere. Did you ever think that the one who really exemplified that motto is Jesus Christ? Through temptations and storms, persecution, even death, Jesus Christ seems to not have known the meaning of "giving up". He is our Lord; Jesus Christ never gives up on us.

Salt and Light is a non-denominational Christian fellowship at Oglethorpe University. The motto of Oglethorpe University is "Nescit Cedere", which means, "He does not know to give up". As Christian Petrels, we attempt to follow Jesus Christ's example in everything we do.
